On the effects of prolonged night driving.

Abstract

The experiment to be reported was aimed at clarifying the effects of prolonged night driving. The results showed considerable decrement in driving performance and performance on two subsidiary tasks, while heart rate, although decreasing during the drive, could not be directly related to fatigue, but was also influenced by adaptional effects.
