Abstract

The effects of the three major groups of psychoactive drugs: antidepressants, anti-axiety agents and sedative/ hypnotics, on tests of car driving and related psychomotor skills are reviewed. Tests include performance in car driving simulators and laboratory analogs of steering, tracking, reaction time, width estimation, overtaking and road positioning as well as on-the-road tests of car driving.
