Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of roadway markings with regard to vehicle encroachment on crosswalks at signal controlled intersections. A tentative recommendation is made for a placement of stop lines likely to reduce vehicle encroachment on crosswalks to acceptable levels.
