Abstract

A study has been conducted on the safety effectiveness of seat belts and the types of injuries occurring when seat belts are worn during a traffic accident. Depending upon whether seat belts are buckled-up or not, it has become clear that there is a difference in the relationship between automobile effective impact velocity and the degree of injury. Actual examples have also been given of injuries which are thought to have taken place due to inappropriate seat belt use.
