Abstract

This paper deals with the analysis, based upon solutions obtained by computer, of the effects of vehicle speed and roadway beam camber on the vertical ride behaviour of a rapid transit vehicle. The roadway is considered to be a simple supported beam in dynamic flexure which possess inertia and equivalent viscous damping where as the vehicle is simulated as a four-degree-of-freedom system.
