The effects of the withdrawal of bus services in rural areas.

Abstract

Before and after studies were conducted to the withdrawal of rural bus services to determine whether the more extreme effects claimed did in fact occur, and to provide more general information on the extent to which people's activities were affected by the level of public transport services. Results of the studies are discussed.
