Abstract

Design and efficiency of fixed time signal coordination for arterial roads are investigated. Different design approaches, namely delay minimisation and bandwidth maximisation as well as advantages and efficiencies of various computer programs are discussed. Two programs, TRANSYT and MAXLINK were used in a case study.
