Abstract

A pilot version of a "joint web service for information exchange and cooperation between the Traffic Management Centre, Emergency Rescue Services, the Police and the Emergency Call Centre" was developed early in 2005. The main purpose was to handle incidents/accidents that affect the traffic situation in Stockholm. The web service was intended to help users obtain a common overview of what is happening in Stockholm and reduce the number of phone calls and faxes, which can be crucial in emergency situations.
