The description of parking raises a number of basic questions for the existing transportation planning methodology. The modelling of the spatial and temporal imbalances, which result in oversaturated conditions for parking, require, that an appropriate model fulfills the two following requirements: (1) the description of the decisions taken by the travellers respecting the internal logic of the decision sequence; and (2) description of the interactions between the travellers on the road including the competition for parking space. This thesis describes a modelling approach satisfying these requirements.
