Abstract

Details are given of an electrically powered commuter passenger car, which can operate for one hour between charges at 60 m. p. h. and which is extremely reliable even at temperatures below freezing point. A comparison is made between operating and overall costs of electrically powered and petrol-powered cars. Recommendations are put forward for making electric cars more competitive on the market.
