Abstract

The time course of alcohol concentration in whole capillary blood of humans after administration of four different oral doses of alcohol in the fasting state was followed. The results demonstrated that zero-order kinetics are inappropriate for describing the elimination of alcohol in humans. Equations describing the rate of metabolism more accurately are given.
