Abstract

The industrialization of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) sets new challenges on automotive technologies and in-vehicle architectures. The present paper gives a survey on requirements and possible solutions concerning hard- and software architectures as well as new sensor technologies. As a main strategic aspect open architectures are considered to enable implementing highly distributed assistance systems and to manage the inherent complexity.
