Abstract

With reasonable accuracy one now can predict the caloric expenditure of man while cycling, walking and running with different speeds. Data and formulas are presented in figures. Answer is given to questions such as, should one cycle, walk or run at what speed should this be performed if a certain amount of calories has to be used, and should one cycle, walk or run if a certain distance has to be covered daily and at what speed.
