Abstract

The aim of the report is to assess the potential energy impact on motor vehicle fuel consumption of various traffic management schemes implemented in OECD Member countries and to review prediction methods. The primary focus is on management measures as tools for energy savings including street usage strategies, traffic control of junctions, speed limits, parking policies, motorway traffic control, and promotion of public transport.
