Abstract

One of the programs of investigating fatal and non-fatal motorcycle accidents, from which head injury data may be derived, and a severity index can be established, is described. The procedure is to conduct a program of impact loadings of helmeted instrumented head forms in an attempt to simulate the injury producing phenomena.
