Abstract

The Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 109 insures that tires meet tests that are designed to simulate service conditions in the field. Safety Standard 110 covers tire selection and rims. It spells out the requirements of tire sizes for vehicle maximum tire loadings and the rim requirements. Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 109 and 110 will insure that tires meet Safety Standard requirements and that vehicles are equipped with tires which will carry maximum vehicle loading.
