Abstract

Accidents by which persons are injured and in which only one vehicle is involved and accidents by which persons are injured on junctions, access roads and exits, outside built-up areas are analysed per province and for the whole Netherlands. Single accidents are described regarding the cause of the accident as well as different circumstances like time and location. Of all accidents on rural highways 40% is a single accident. 75% of these regards a collision with a tree, a fence or a house.
