Abstract

The concept of entropy is still mentioned in urban planning literature. This article attempts to explicate the entropy function and the use of the function in the development of a spatial interaction model, used in urban planning. In the application of this method, a specific behaviour of the individual participant is incorporated. A few examples illustrate the usefulness of the entropy function method.
