The environmental influence of rain on freeway capacity.

Abstract

Based on the results of this research it is concluded that 1) rain significantly reduces freeway capacity 2) the freeway capacity during rain can be expected to be between 81 and 86% of the dry weather capacity 3) Dry weather capacity is very stable.
