Abstract
The laboratory's environment assessment simulator consist of a simulated living room in which traffic scenes are shown in conjunction with the associated sound with the aim of obtaining subjective and possible monetary assessments of environmental changes. A description of the simulator is given and a pilot survey carried out in 1973 is discussed.
