Abstract

Computer software display should be adapted to human capacities. More interaction between computer and operator must be envisaged in the design of these systems. More flexibility is needed. Steps of gradual ergonomic improvement in computer software design are outlined, such as appearing in the grouping of displays in the control room, adjusting graphical layout and relocation of instruments, and miniaturization.
