Abstract

The SAFESPOT integrated research project aims to improve road safety through the communication among vehicles and with road side units. The ESPOSYTOR tool, presented in this paper, supports the testing of several layers of the SAFESPOT architecture on vehicles and infrastructures, by visualizing the behavior of individual components (positioning, local dynamic map, wireless communication technologies), as well as the behavior of the safetyapplications, which are the most visible from the drivers point of view. The ESPOSYTOR system monitors in real time the data from the SAFESPOT network, but it also provides replays of previous testing sessions.
