Abstract
In fixing, which motorcar categories are essential for the preservation of the promotion of certain activities in an urban area, the urban functions are inventarized. Thus an insight is obtained in the volume of generated traffic. Mobility behaviour is giving an insight in modal choice. Both elements should be weighed in such a way that an optimisation of transport took place. It seems impossible to make a formula, because towns differ too much.
