Establishing a system of emergency health services in New York State.

Abstract

This article deals with a program of emergency health service developed by the New York State Department of Health. The program includes medical defense, accident prevention, physical requirements for driver licensing, ambulance regulations, design of a statewide system of emergency health communications, and the establishment of 30 area emergency medical care committees with full-time staff.
