Abstract

Within the framework of the EU IMMORTAL project, SWOV in January 2002 started a prospective case-control study, aimed at estimating the relative injury risk of drink- and drugdriving in the Netherlands. In the past, several observational studies tried to find a causal relationship between the use of drugs other than alcohol on the one hand, and road accidents on the other. However, epidemiological studies including a proper control group are still lacking. (Abstract only). (Author/publisher) For the covering abstract of the conference see ITRD Abstract No. E201067.
