Abstract

In the transportation planning in the urban area, the distribution of bases and the number of the first trips by trip purposes are important, The origin-destination pattern of person trips described as Markov chains will be useful in estimation of future trips pattern by land use plan. A base defined as the starting places of the first person trips in a day.
