Abstract

Results of the study to the subjective evaluation of overtaking danger by more or less experienced drivers show that the subjective assessments of danger hardly ever vary from one phase of overtaking to another; that overtaking does not systematically give rise to an increase in the level of danger, and that young drivers often compensate for their lack of experience by a prudent behaviour.
