Abstract

This study is concerned with the ability of human subjects to estimate the relative distance traversed by an object which approaches them on a collision course at various speeds, from various distances, and with various initial angular substances. The purpose of this research is to examine further the nature of certain visual skills are anticipated in manned space vehicle operation.
