Firstly a review of well known systems of bridge deck waterproofing is made, and a new system Etanplast is presented. This complex uses extensively the normal road construction equipment and has at least one considerable advantage over all other competitors which is an enormous reduction in the necessary time of application. Two examples are presented, one of 44,000 square metres on a new bridge, completed in a little over 10 days and the second of 5,300 square metres completed in 40 hours including the removal of the existing pavement and waterproofing followed by the application of the new complex. (A) The German title of this article is: Etanplast : ein neues leistungsfähiges Verfahren der Abdichtung von Brückenplatten.
