Abstract
This booklet describes the work of the European Union Road Federation and provides data on: the economic importance of road transport, employment in road transport, the length of the road network, the length of motorways, investment in roads and in their maintenance, goods transport, passenger transport, number of vehicles, modal split for land transport, injury and fatality accident statistics, fuel prices, blood alcohol limits, speed limits and maximum gross vehicle weights for the European Union and where appropriate its constituent countries.
