Abstract

Many accidents involve motorcycles being overlooked by other road users. A study assessed means of improving motorcycle conspicuity in daylight; clothing and various lighting arrangements were evaluated. A series of different experimental techniques was used, including laboratory and field trials, each of which had advantages and drawbacks.
