Abstract

This paper discusses the framework used in preparing the MELYSSA Evaluation and Field Trial Plan, and provides examples of evaluation for the different field trials in MELYSSA. It discusses in particular evaluation of road safety impacts. It shows how co-ordinated assessment will be used to add value to field trial results, and to make a first evaluation of integrated implementation scenarios of ATT systems. The systems tested included driver information about congestion, route guidance, and poor weather conditions. Traffic management systems included ramp metering.
