Abstract

An experimental evaluation of the AA driver training programme was conducted incorporating random assignment and the comparison of driving records 18 months after licensing. Over their lifetimes the AA students would then probably have driven slighty more, marginally increasing their exposure to risk of accidents. These findings are in accordance with a number of studies on high school driver training pro- grammes overseas.
