Abstract

Some of the basic problems and potential solutions involved in the evaluation of the effectiveness of FMVSS's are discussed. Four specific standards examined were on (1) Fuel System Integrity; (2) Occupant protection; (3) Side door strength; and (4) Exterior protection.
