Abstract

Dedicated school bus services are popular with parents and pupils and can play a valuable role in providing an alternative to using the car for taking pupils to school, according to research published by the U.K. Department for Transport (DfT). The report is part of the DfT's joint program with the Department for Education and Skills to reduce car dependency on the school trips and to improve the range of options available to parents and children.
