Abstract

The effect on the Banfield Freeway High Occupancy Vehicle Lanes of various methods of providing incentives to carpool or ride a bus is evaluated. The effort to increase carpooling on the Banfield Freeway consisted of two programs. One effort gave special parking permits, the other involved an intensive public information promotion campaign.
