Abstract

Medical impairments which may affect ability to drive are conditions which alter perception because of loss of consciousness, or limitation of a single sense; conditions which alter judgemental processes in reactions; and motor conditions which limit one's ability to respond rapidly to changes in traffic environment. For proper evaluation of driving ability of affected persons there should be a three way communication between the licensing agency, the driver and his physician.
