Abstract

This study was conducted to evaluate the current effectiveness of left turn channelization installations in reducing accidents, and determine if more objective criteria could be established for left turn channelization. Reduction at unsignalized and signalized intersections is described. In the unsignalized category are differences in painted channelized projects and physically protected left turn slots.
