Abstract
Passenger car and truck rear vision systems were evaluated under real-world driving conditions using driver looking behaviour as performance measures duration as well as frequency at each rear-vision device by experienced drivers during various traffic manoeuvres were recorded using direct video recording of eye movements. Critically weights of zones to the side and rear of passenger vehicles were derived.
