Abstract

The research program covered in this report was aimed toward two objectives. The first was to provide the V.S. Department of transportation with technical assistance in planning their program for the near-term, first-generation experimental safety vehicle. The second was to provide similar but less intensive assistance in anticipating the important technical factors governing the development of far-term experimental vehicles.
