Abstract

The goal was to provide PCS with a user based assessment of the usability and safety of the RDS-TMC receiver in the context of the Rijn-Corridor Project, and to produce recommendations about how the usability can be improved. The test was carried out using 10 subjects. Test participants were given a driving task on the Philips site. Each subject performed a number of tasks with a car stereo and with the RDS-TMC terminal. The actual use of the RDS-TMC terminals and of the car stereo were evaluated by means of observations.
