Abstract

An analysis of rear-end collisions involving two or more vehicles was carried out to assist in the development of the vehicle marking and signaling systems, by associating the relative frequencies of such injury producing collisions with the action of the vehicle struck. The results indicated that signaling of turning vehicles and recognition of parked vehicles at night should be improved.
