Abstract

This report presents the findings of a study of light truck characteristics and the light truck market, as well as the performance of widely used highway safety features when such features are impacted by light truck subclasses. Computer simulation, crash data, and crash testing studies were used to expand the knowledge base of light truck performance for impacts with roadside features.
