Abstract

The objective is to evaluate a demonstration project involving the use of unmanned radar equipment on the I75 highway in Northern Kentucky to determine whether the use of unmanned radar units reduces traffic speeds and speed variations at the study locations. The results indicate that unmanned radar was an effective means of reducing the number of vehicles traveling at excessive speeds.
