The idea of retraining of drivers is mostly a negative sound, because retraining implies something that could have been better before. Therefore often the question is made if retraining could be really efficient. Should it not be better to make the training of drivers more efficient, so that retraining should not be necessary. On the hand of four models of retraining courses, now in use in Switzerland, an evaluation of retraining is presented.
