The purpose of this report is to find out how appropriate the evaluation methods used until now have been in research on traffic instruction to children. The report is a bibliographic survey on some nordic studies as well as a few studies made outside the nordic countries. Of the total of 35 studies, fourteen were selected for thorough analysis, with particular attention paid to the test design, evaluation of the instruction process as well as the evaluation criteria used in the studies.
