Abstract

This article discusses the influence of moderate variation in vehicle response characteristics on the man-vehicle performance at speeds as low as 35m. p.h. Fluctuations in vehicle performance are detected by monitoring the maximum speed at which a severe lane change manoeuvre can be performed.
