Abstract

Hypoglycaemia may have forensic importance concerning the ability of running a car and possible imputability. This study is based on an analysis of anamneses and clinical symptoms of traffic delinquents. Furthermore were estimated biochemical parameters such as glucose and lactic acid (additionally ethanol and toxicological screening). There is proposed a sum value (glucose+lactate) on blood samples taken, on behalf of the police, to be a reliable equivalent of the actual state of glucose metabolism. (Author/publisher)
