Abstract

The electrical activity that can be recorded from the surface of the human head, the so called electroencephalogram (EEG) has been used, apart from its clinical application, in psycho-physiological studies. Common techniques are briefly summarized and some examples of application in vigilance studies, attention and expectation studies are given.
