Abstract

On the basis of statistics showing the evolution of the number of road casualties from 1966 to 1972, a more systematic quarterly analysis has been carried out. Especially are studied the statistics to ascertain whether the speed limit of 90 km/h has had any influence on the number of the causalities with bodily injuries. A sharp decrease during the second quarter of 1971, immediately after the enforcement of the regulations was noted.
